This guide explains how to upgrade to version 1.16 safely.
Before updating your server we recommended making a server backup.
Step 1.
Login to your servers control panel.
Step 2.
Stop your server if it is currently running.
Step 3.
Navigate to the FTP manager on the panel or login via an FTP client.
Step 4.
Resetting the nether for Vanilla/ Forge:
- Open the "world folder or the name of your world.
- Select the "DIM-1" folder and delete it.
- Start your server again.
Resetting the nether for paper/ spigot/ bukkit
- Select the "world_nether" folder and delete it.
- Start your server again.
